One of the famous magic kingdom attractions in the Liberty Square is the hall of presidents in Magic Kingdom which consists of the audio-animatronic images of the 43 Presidents of United States. It was started in the year 1971. The duration of the Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom is 23 minutes. It is a show with importance given to the political background of United States. It starts with a film featuring the history of United States.
The film depicts about the principles followed by the United States and it shows that US always travelled in the path of continuous improvement. Every aspect related to the freedom of United States, its constitution and the way it has progressed over the years.
It is followed by the speeches of Abraham Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin. Both the President speech assures that the government will be different from others. The show also includes paintings and other speeches regarding the American civil war and it shows that there have been a lot of changes after the Civil war.
The film ends with the message that the future Presidents should also the principles of Constitution. Then the curtain raises and the presidents are called upon in the order. As each name is called out, they respond to the call by a wave, smile or a nod which creates a chimera that it is real. After all the president’s names are called out, Abraham Lincoln stands up and comes to the center stage to deliver a speech.
Later in 2001 George W. Bush figure was added and in 2009 the third speaking president George Washington figure was added. In 2008, Barack Obama figure was added. The voices of Obama, Clinton and Bush are given by themselves while for the other Presidents, movie stars and Disney veterans have given the voice.
